I am convinced that my town Helena Alabama has the worst traffic areas in southern Alabama. Why? because they fail to provide adequate road systems, but allow exponential housing growth. The latest rumour is that folks are moving out of Helena for the traffic reasons. This place is on the 100 most disirable places to live in the US, but I wonder what our rank is now.
This is the solution: widen roads, add turn lanes, get a new mayor, stop throwing money at stupid Alabama & Auburn celebrations, force builders to pay for road upgrades and all other common sense actions.
